New Year Updates!

Happy New Year! I am very excited about what 2013 holds for my growing jewelry business!

Back in December I ordered a jewelry kiln! I think it’s going to make a huge difference in my jewelry making, especially since I’ll be able to experiment with bronze and copper clays, and hopefully combine them in jewelry pieces. I’m pretty excited to try it out.

I have 5 or 6 pieces that are in the greenware stage – formed and ready to go into the kiln or be torched – but I haven’t started anything new yet. I want to get these finished before I start something else. I’m also taking a Craftsy class on kiln-fired precious metal clay and learning a lot of new techniques that I couldn’t use with the torch. One of those things is using cork clay to make hollow silver pieces. There are so many opportunities on the horizon with the kiln!

Here is the one I ordered from PMCMetalClayKilns:

What goals do you have for you business in 2013? I would love to hear about it!
